Philippe Miquel is CEO of ENGIE Western & Central Africa since Jan. 1st, 2016.
Philippe graduated with a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore (USA) in 1996 and with an Engineering Degree from the University of Technology of Compiègne (France) in 1990. He started his professional career in the Research and Development Division of Gaz de France as project manager in combustion technologies. From 2000 to 2008, he held several positions in the Key Accounts Division of Gaz de France in charge of the steel and automotive industries. He then headed the Economic Studies department of the Strategy Division of Global Gas & LNG at GDF SUEZ. In April 2010, Philippe Miquel was named Chief of Staff to the Executive Vice President of GDF SUEZ in charge of the Global Gas & LNG business line. He then moved to Cameroon in July 2013 as Resident Director of GDF SUEZ LNG Cameroon based in Yaoundé.
Philippe Miquel is a Foreign Trade Advisor of the French Minister of Commerce.
